Description

Until recently, this species was considered to be very problematic. It was recently re-discovered in the western Mediterranean and nearby Atlantic Ocean. It attains a maximum size of about 6mm. It is white with about 7-8 thick, strongly reflected costae per whorl which are not peaked. There are 4-6 swollen teleoconch whorls. The spaces between the costae are smooth. The suture and umbilicus are narrowly open. The aperture is oval and the outer lip is thickened.
