Description

E. algerianum is the type species of Parviscala de Boury and has been found in the Bay of Biscay and the Mediterranean Sea south to Senegal. It has been found in water at a depth of up to 400m and reaches a maximum size of 13mm. It has about 15 peaked costae per whorl with numerous spiral threads between the costae. It is white in color, with about 4 teleoconch and 4.5 protoconch whorls. The aperture is oval and the umbilicus is almost closed.
