Species of the group A. lineata, very strong, ovato-conic in form, bright. Protoconch made by two whorls covered by about 10 spiral little cords. Teleconch presents whorls not much convex, suture not much deep, undulated. Last whorl is high about 2/3 of total height and it is crossed by 9-10 axial ribs orthocline, large and wide, vanishing at the periphery of last whorl. Spiral sculpture is made by weak striae visible in the intercostal spaces only. Base crossed by weak spiral little cords. Mouth small, round, lip thickened by a varix quite wide, margin sharp, inside of aperture denticulated. Ground is dirty white in colour with streaks in the intercostal spaces, dark orange in colour. In living specimens it is visible a thin periostracum. Operculum comeus, paucispiral. Animal is dirty white in colour pattern with a little band yellow in colour along tentacles and margin of foot. Its most similar one is A. discors recognizable since it has a larger number of axial ribs weaker, on the contrary spiral striae are more consistent, suture broader and mouth larger, moreover it has a quite larger distribution.
Juvenile specimens have an aspect more angular at the periphery and apart from protoconch they are recognizable due to special width of axial ribs. Average measures of adult specimens reach 3.5-4 mm in height.
