Description

18mm. Solid, sinistral, biconic, with impressed sutures; protoconch flat topped. First 2 spire whorls axially ribbed, later whorls with sinuous axial ribs crossed by coarse spiral cords, noduled at periphery of whorls. Columella smooth, sinuous; outer lip thin edged. Purplish brown with whitish and reddish brown ribs; columella white. A single dextral example known (illustrated at right of photo). Habitat: under rocks or in reef crevices at extreme low tide level. Distribution: Masirah Island
