Diagnosis: The new species is characterized by dark brown color, whitish columella and outer lip, broad and low spire, ivory white umbilicus and strongly inflated ventrum.
Description: Shell medium-sized (with width range 39.5-41.3mm of collected specimens),, thick and turbinate in shape. Spire low and broad, sutures deep. Shell height 74.3% of width (see Table 20), body whorl inflated with rounded shoulder. Apex whitish, ornamentation consists of many fine, undulate, widely-spaced axial lines and a whitish, intermittent band at periphery. Sculpture with broad subsutural band defined by spiral grooves and crossed by many closely-spaced axial ribs. Aperture very oblique with external pattern well visible within and occupying 71.8% of shell height, 53% shell width, outer lip moderately thick, and reflected. Umbicus deep, ivory white and slightly covered by columella. Ventral side swollen with many wavy, whitish radial lines. Color dark brown with blue aperture, whitish columella and outer lip.

The new species differs mainly from Cyclophorus anhi Thach n.sp. (Fig.85) in (1) lower and broader spire, (2) outer lip and columella thicker and not bluish, (3) umbilical area not dark brown, (4) presence of many white, wavy axial lines around umbilicus, (5) aperture paler in color with external pattern more visible within, (6) outer lip more rounded and not distorted, (7) different background colors, dark brown compared to black color, (8) different localities Thai Nguyen versus Hoa Binh Province of Vietnam.
