Description

MEXICAN NEILONELLID Tindaria mexicana Dall, 1908c: 389; T. atossa Dall, 1908c: 388; T smirna Dall, 1908c: 389 [first revision herein]; T. cervola Dall, 1916b: 13, nom. nud; 1916e: 402. Shell, subtrigonal, robust; posterior end longer, pointed to rounded. Smooth or with moderate commarginal ribs, variable, subdued. Periostracum olive. Length to 8 mm. Farallon Islands, California (37.7°N) [SBMNH], south to the Golfo de California and Panamá (17.3°N) [USNM], in 1,200 - 2,550 m. Literature: Keen (1971: 35), Rokop (1979, as "Tindaria cervola").
