Description

The thin, strongly peaked costae distinguish this offshore species from E. gravieri (Jousseaume, 1912). It has been found off Natal, South Africa, and reaches a maximum size of about 7mm. It has about 6 teleoconch and 4.5 protoconch whorls. It is elongate and white. There are about 10 strongly reflected costae and fine spiral lines between the costae. The peaks on the costae are relatively low and about 1/3 of the distance below the suture. The suture and umbilicus are narrowly open. The outer lip is broad.
