Description

This tiny species has been found in deep water off eastern Transkei, South Africa. It attains a maximum size of 3mm. It is white, with up to 3 three teleoconch whorls and with 12-14 weakly fluted costae per whorl. There is no spiral sculpture. The aperture is round. There are 5 protoconch whorls tinged with pale brown.
This species can distinguished from C hyalina by having, on average, more numerous costae and a round aperture.
