Description

Inasmuch as this species has been found only in one locality, Durban Bay, South Africa, it appears to have a very restricted range. It reaches a maximum size of 8mm. There are approximately 8 strongly convex whorls with 7-11 axial ribs with sloping sides per whorl and an occasional varix. Microscopic spiral striae can be seen between the ribs. A basal cord is present. It is white in color, the outer lip is thickened and the aperture is oval. .
While this species resembles O. soror, it has fewer ribs.
