Description

A very rare species, known only from a few specimens, mostly broken. Small, about 5mm, spire at a 14-degree angle. Number of whorls not less than 4. Sculpture consists of numerous low axial ribs which do not extend below a well developed basal ridge. Ribs are occasionally thickened into varices. Spiral sculpture consists of numerous fine and evenly pitted threads. The only known specimens were found off New Jersey at a depth of 146 fathoms and off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, at a depth of 63 fathoms.
