Description

We follow the author in calling this species a Hyaloscala. It was described based on two specimens from Mauritius. The shell reaches a height of at least 7mm. The shell is white with 6-7 convex whorls. The sutures are deep. On the early whorls, the costae are very fine and close-set. However, on the later whorls, they are less numerous and more widely spaced. The aperture is oval. Because of the difference between the sculpture on the early and later whorls, this species should be easy to identify.
