Description

E. falconi was placed in the subgenus Foliaceiscala which we consider to be a synonym of Limiscala. This species reaches a maximum size of 6.5mm and has been found intertidally in Natal, South Africa. It is very broad, with about 5 teleoconch whorls. There are 48-65 costae and about 14 spiral lines per whorl. The tops of the costae are flattened. The suture is shallow, and the aperture is oval. The umbilicus is narrowly open. There are 3.5 protoconch whorls. The color is white.
It can be distinguished from E. irregularis by the larger number of costae per whorl.
