Species in this group have a closed umbilicus, peaked costae, and fine spiral lines between the costae. This tiny species, which reaches a maximum size of only 3mm, has been found off Zululand, South Africa. It is a fragile species, yellowish white, with about 4 teleoconch whorls. There are about 27-30 slightly reflected costae and 15 strong spiral lines per whorl. The costae are slightly peaked. The aperture is oval and the outer lip is thin. While this species is similar to E. amicum, it has finer costae.
