Description

The shape of the shell is ovate, with a high-pointed apex. The aperture is wide and extends about two-thirds the length of the shell; and there are 4 strong folds on the columella. The surface is smooth; the color is white with about 10 thin spiral reddish brown lines on the last whorl; and the size 13x6 mm. Characteristics. The thin brown lines distinguish the shell at once. Bartsch had a specimen which he thought was a new species, but not in good enough condition to name. I have now found several others in one of which the ground colour is light brown.
