Nassarius antiquatus: Nordsieck (1968) considered N. antiquatus a valid biospecies, but in the present author's opinion it is conspecific with N. semistriatus (Brocchi, 1814), which is known living from the East Atlantic and West Africa. Nassa antiquata Watson, 1897, is in any case taxonomically not available, being a primary homonym of Nassa antiquata Gabb, 1864, from the California Eocene.
