Description

Shell up to 2.65 mm high, about as high as broad, rather thick, nacreous, with a narrow, crescentic umbilical chink; spire up to 1.41 x as high as aperture.
Protoconch clearly demarcated, of slightly less than 1 convex whorl; surface etched away; diameter 230 jim.
Teleoconch of up to 6 regularly expanding whorls; sutural slope gentle, shallowly concave; sides steep, more or less parallel on mature body whorl, shallowly concave; base gently and evenly con¬tracted, convex. Primary sculpture consisting of smooth spiral cords, 3 on spire and 5 or 6 on base at maturity. Adapical spiral bordering suture, low, commencing on 4th whorl. Shoulder and peripheral spirals commencing immediately, strongest, alike, subtriangular in section; shoulder spiral near adapical third; peripheral spiral with summit covered by succeeding whorls. Basal spirals almost equidistant; innermost spiral weaker than the others or absent. Secondary sculpture consisting of fine, closely and regularly spaced, collabral, axial riblets, crisp on 1st 2 whorls but progressively weakening and vanishing on 3rd whorl. Spiral threads entirely absent. Outer lip subrhomboidal; rim broken in all specimens; posterior notch deep (relative depth unmeasurable); basal notch smaller; no peripheral notch. Parietal glaze thin. Inner lip rather thick, deeply curved towards umbilical chink and reflected into it at rim, sharply flexed below to form a prominent tooth that projects radially into aperture.
Dimensions (mm) Holotype: Height 2,65 mm; Diam. 2,15 mm; Number of whorls 6,75.
