4mm. High spired with protoconch of about 3.5 glossy, smooth whorls. Spire whorls have thick, slightly recurved, oblique or wavy, ribs interleaving at sutures. Coarse, spiral threads between ribs. Peristome thick, especially at base. No umbilicus. White. Habitat: deep water. Distribution: Gulf of Oman.

Fpitonium (Lahenascala) idalium (Melvill. 1912) (Fig. 205) E. idalium was described based on material found in the Persian Gulf at a depth 55 fathoms. This species reaches à maximum size of about 4mm. The shell is white, with 5 teleoconch whorls. There are about 15 thick reflected costae per whorl.
