Cirsotrema (Cirsotrema) canephorum (Melvill, 1906) (Fig. 191) We are treating this species as a Cirsofrema because it is very similar to C. knousma Kilbum, 1985. It is another species found in the Gulf of Oman at a depth of 156 fathoms. It is a tiny species with a maximum length of only 4mm. There are at least 7 angular whorls. The sculpture consists of reflected costae with spiral lines on the surface of the shell. The aperture is oval. The protoconch is conical. Compared to C. krousma, this species has more angular whorls and a more conical protoconch. It is also much smaller.
