Description

55mm. Narrowly high spired (protoconch not seen but presumably smooth). Spire whorls (14 whorls on largest specimen seen) enlarging regularly, superficially straight sided. Crowded, axial ribs (about 28 on last whorl), often wrinkled and layered on fresh specimens and hooked just below deep sutures; between ribs on later spire whorls about 6 strong, spiral threads have lesser threads between them. Strong cord encircles base. No umbilicus. White. Habitat: offshore in black mud and beached. Distribution: Masirah Island. Gulf of Oman
