Antillophos dedonderi: Shell small for the genus. Holotype: 17.6 mm in length. Shape broad, oval with a short spire. Teleoconch with 5 whorls. Ground colour white, pattern consisting of 15 or 16 fine red brown spiral lines of which the 1 or 2 adapical ones are finer. Protoconch with 3 white whorls. Tip eroded. Second whorl with 1 or 2 keels. Last whorl with 2 spiral keels. Transition to teleoconch marked by several curved, strong axial riblets. The first teleoconch whorl is ornamented with 3 strong, red brown, primary spiral cords, interspaces broad, smooth. Third whorl with 5 primary spiral cords, interspaces smooth or with 1 or 3 secondary spiral cords. Body whorl with 16 flat spiral cords, secondary spiral cords flat, with a fine groove as interspace. First teleoconch whorl with 12 strong, sharp axial ribs, interspaces of equal size. Body whorl with 17-18 strong, axial ribs, interspaces wide. Aperture semi-ovate. Outer lip with many internal lirae. Columella with 2 strong abapical knobs, 1 adapical knob and some additional, irregular columellar knobs in between. Antillophos dedonderi: A. (A.) dedonderi n. sp. is characterized by the broad shape in combination with broad, flat spiral cords with fine interspaces and a pattern of fine red brown spiral lines.
A. (A.) lucubratonis sp. n. is remarkably similar in pattern but differs by the convex spiral cords (instead of flat and broad ones) with a fine groove as interspace (instead of broad interspaces with 1 secondary spiral cord), by the 3 adapical spiral cords which are strong and close together (instead of fine with rather broad interspaces), by the protoconch with 2 spiral cords (instead of 4), by the pattern with a darker peripheral band, and by the slightly shorter spire.
A. (A.) elegantissimum (Hayashi & Habe, 1965) is much similar in pattern, but differs by the more elongate shape with conical spire (instead of oval), by the convex spiral cords, by the weaker axial sculpture, by the dark protoconch, and by the larger size.

Antillophos dedonderi: Antillophos (A.) dedonderi n. sp. is named to honour our friend Fernand De Donder (Belgium). Together with Rika Goethals he has made great efforts to study the Philippine shells by collecting small species and especially by collecting habitat data in order to accumulate our knowledge on the Philippine malacofauna considerably.
