Shell small, white, polished, subpyriform, the whorls involved, the apex with a deep narrow perforation; the only sculpture consists of inconspicuous incremental lines; the aperture is as long as the shell, the posterior commissure rounded over, the outer lip thin, nearly straight, broadly rounded in front; a slight bulge, not a fold, frequently noticeable where it units with the pillar; a very narrow chink usually exists behind the pillar. Height, 3.7; diameter at apex, 1.5; maximum diameter, 2.5 mm. U. S. Nat. Mus. Cat. No. 107922. Off Fernandina, numerous specimens.
The species differs from 107923 by its smaller size, relatively shorter and less attenuated form, and slightly wider posterior part of the aperture. It is dedicated to the late Dr. W. H. Rush, United States Navy, to whom we were indebted for several interesting additions to the deeper water fauna.
