18mm. Thick, dull, globose, as tall as broad, low spire. Columella has 2 central teeth; upper callus pad wrinkled; outer lip smooth inside. Low spiral ridges. White, yellowish, reddish brown, grey or black, often spirally banded and flecked; columella, callus pad and aperture white, tinged yellow or orange. Operculum smooth, glossy. Habitat: intertidal on rocks.
