Description

Streptopinna saccata (Linnaeus, 1758)
35-111 mm. —> Translucent purple, caramel or white, broad and irregularly shaped, often with a bend in the outline of the shell. Strong undulating ribs. The end opposite the beak gapes widely, usually encrusted with white growth. (93 mm) Distribution: Uncommon, Gulf of Aqaba, Safaga area, and south of Marsa Alam.
