Description

A common basket shell of small size, with a tall spire. Bach whorl bears numerous longitudinal ridges, crossed by fine spiral threads. The shell is light yellow without any color patterns. Distribution: south of Honshu, below the tide line.
R. fratercula (DUNKER) is a related species having a somewhat smaller shell, with black, spiral bands.
