Description

Shape broad, inflated. Adapical teleoconch whorls angulate, with strong axial ribs on shoulder. Penultimate and body whorl densely covered with strong spiral cords, interspaces of equal size. Radula typically buccinid, central tooth tricuspid with quadrangular base, lateral teeth tricuspid with large outer cusp and small middle cusp

Distribution

Range and habitat. Phaenomenella inflata comb, nov. is known from off Taiwan only. It lives in moderately deep water (155-326 m) on sandy and muddy bottom.
