According to ROLAN & HERNANDEZ (2006) the shell is very small (holotype 1.09 x 0.69 mm, other shells smaller, of about 0.80 mm high), ovoid elongate, fragile, last whorl representing 3/4 or more of its height. The teleoconch has nearly whorls in largest specimens (only two in the smaller ones), slightly convex and rounded on the periphery of the last whorl. Suture well marked. The whorls apparently are smooth but, under high magnification, prosocline growth lines and tiny spiral threads can be seen. Aperture ovoid with thin peristome. Columella curved and opisthocline. Brownish colour, sometimes with white stripes on the last whorl. Protoconch light brown, like the teleoconch, with 1.25 smooth whorls and about 330 µm in diameter (nucleus about 100 µm). Sculpture of about ninespiral cords wider than the interspaces.

This species resembles some of the Cape Verde species attributed to this genus by TEMPLADO & ROLAN (1994), such as C. alvarezi and C. morenoi. Both differ mainly by the sculpture of the protoconch, stronger in the former and with small punctuated incisions in the second.
