Shell size small for genus, adult size up to ca. 4.7 mm; fusiform, elongate. Suture very weakly incised Protoconch paucispiral, slightly less than 1.5 smooth whorls. Teleoconch of ca. 3.5 whorls. Axial and spiral sculpture absent. Outer lip very slightly thickened, smooth. Inner lip smooth. Columellar callus weak. Parietal callus weak. Columella smooth. Siphonal canal short, open, straight. Teleoconch whorls off-white in colour. Protoconch off-white. Aperture and
columella off-white. Holotype height 4.5 mm.

This species differs from Mitrella parvicosta n. sp. in its lack of axial and spiral sculpture and smooth columella and inner lip.
