Shell size typical for genus, adult size 8.1 mm; fusiform, elongate. Suture slightly incised, whorls slightlv shouldered. Protoconch paucispiral, -1.5 smooth whorls. Teleoconch of ca. six whorls. Axial sculpture of minute riblets on early whorls, absent on subsequent whorls. Spiral sculpture present only on dorsal aspect of final whorl, consisting of numerous fine spiral incisions ranging from suture to basal cords. Basal cords ventrally ranging to adapical end of columella. Outer lip thickened, with clear rim, smooth, bearing only continuation of basal cords. Inner lip virtually smooth (slightly damaged in holotype). Columellar callus slightly thickened. Parietal callus very weak, almost obsolete. Columella smooth. Siphonal canal short, open, slightly recurved. Teleoconch whorls off-white in colour, with subsutural whitish band; body whorl with band of white blotches at mid-whorl and with faint pattern of beige axial lines on abapical half of final half whorl. Protoconch semitranslucent, off-white. Aperture and columella off-white. Holotype height 8.1 mm.

The species is similar to Mitrella intermissalineata n. sp., but differs in its more elongate shape, less bulbous protoconch, more shouldered whorls, shorter siphonal canal and spiral sculpture on the body whorl.
