Description

Shell of rather small size for genus, adult size up to -8.7 mm; fusiform, elongate. Suture slightly incised, whorls strongly shouldered. Protoconch paucispiral, -1.75 smooth whorls. Teleoconch of ca.6.5 whorls. Axial sculpture absent. Spiral sculpture of basal cords, ventrally ranging to mid-parietal height, diminishing in strength adapically. Outer lip thickened, with distinct rim, smooth, bearing only continuation of basal cords. Inner lip denticulate, with six equally spaced denticles, diminishing in strength abapically. Columellar callus and parietal callus almost obsolete. Columella smooth. Siphonal canal short, open, slightly recurved. Teleoconch whorls off-white in colour with pale brown flammules. Protoconch off-white. Aperture and columella off-white. Holotype height 8.7 mm.
