Shells very small for family and subfamily, tiny, elongated and fusiform; body whorl inflated, more rounded than spire whorls; shoulder rounded, blending into body whorl; body whorl ornamented with 26 thin, evenly spaced longitudinal cordlike riblets which, in turn, are crossed by 20 thin spiral cords, producing strong cancellate sculpture; body whorl and spire whorls with 2 large, fin-like varices per whorl; varices staggered, not aligned, squared off along posterior edges; siphonal canal well developed, open, ornamented with 6 large spiral cords; protoconch proportionally very large, rounded, domelike, projecting, composed of 2 whorls; aperture large, oval, bordered by large, thickened varix along lip; columellar area smooth, with small, nearly obsolete parietal shield; shells colored pale cream-white.
