Description

Shell size typical for genus, adult size up to 5.7 mm; fusiform, elongate. Suture slightly incised. Protoconch paucispiral, -1.6 smooth whorls. Teleoconch of ca. four whorls. Axial sculpture of over 30 fine, close-set riblets. Spiral sculpture absent. Outer lip simple. Inner lip smooth. Columellar callus thickened. Parietal callus thinner than columellar callus. Columella smooth. Siphonal canal very short, open, straight. Teleoconch whorls off-white in colour. Protoconch semi-translucent, white. Aperture and columella white. Holotype height 5.6 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

This species is most similar to Zemitrella sericea Powell, 1937, but differs in its larger size, absence of spiral sculpture, and more rounded aperture.
