Zemitrella epicroca n. sp. is unique in the smooth, almost transparent shell, the sloping basal cords and the thin white band at mid whorl. The species displays some affinities with Z. finlayi Powell, 1933 and Z. benthicola Dell, 1956, but the generic placement is considered to be only tentative.
