Description

C. agulhasensis is type species for the genus. It attains a maximum size of at least 3mm and was found off the Agulhas Banks, South Africa, at a depth of 155m. It has 6 teleoconch and 1.5 protoconch whorls. The protoconch is smooth. There are 25 costae per whorl. This species has a strong basal ridge. The aperture is round and the sutures are deep.
