Description

Like the other epitoniid species recently described by this author, it occurs in shallow water. This species ranges from southeast Florida and the Bahamas to the Virgin Islands and the Lesser Antilles. It attains a maximum size of about 17mm. The number of costae ranges from 18 to 45 per whorl. The larger the shell, the larger the number of costae. The costae tend to be thin and reflected. There are about 12 spiral lines per whorl. The umbilicus is open. There are up to 8 inflated teleoconch whorls. The aperture is oval and the outer lip is thin. The color is off-white to white.
