Description

Shell length to 40 mm. Sculpture: 15-17 raised ribs become progressively nodulose ventrally, with finer narrower ribs dorsally, with narrow interstices; fine concentric lamellar sculpture covers the shell surface. Colour: white, with brown chevrons and fulvous blotches, with wide brown blotches at the extremities; interior white, dark brown posteriorly. Periostracum: smooth, straw-coloured. Habitat: coral sand, littoral. Distribution: north Queensland, Great Barrier Reef, Northern Territory to north Western Australia.
