Tall-spired, periphery sharply angulate and fluted by the ends of oblique folds on the sides of the body whorl, base deeply concave; sculptured with finely squamose cords; operculum with a strong spiral rib. sometimes ending in a callosity. Cream sides and base, parietal wall and columella pearly; operculum while centrally, blue to purple along the side beyond the spiral rib. Up to 4.5 cm.
