Description

Shell subquadrale, longer posteriorly; umbones wide, not prominent. Posterodorsal margin straight, forming alate process. Anterior margin rounded; posterior margin broadly rounded. Surface polished, with commarginal growth lines; periostracum varnished, iridescent. Posterior series of teeth twice as many as anterior series, larger. Length to 30 mm.
San Diego Trough, California (32.4°N) [LACM], in 1,200 m.
