Description

Shell up to 33.0 mm in length, elongate cylindrical to conical, some specimens broader than others, teleoconch of 8-9 slightly convex or almost flat-sided whorls, protoconch of 1.5 small, embryonic whorls. Sculptured with low, weakly developed axial folds which number up to 26 on the body whorl and become more obsolete on the last whorl, and 4-5 finely incised, punctate spiral grooves on the penultimate and 11-15 grooves on the body whorl apart from about 6 oblique threads on the siphonal fasciole. Aperture very narrow, smooth within, outer lip bluntly crenulate, columella narrowly calloused and with 5-6 small folds, siphonal notch distinct. Uniformly white in color, one specimen with traces of a brown periostracum on the body whorl.

Distribution

Philippine Islands. - An imperfectly understood species which to date is known from only 2 specimens from the Philippines. Habitat - Subtidal, in sand, in 59 m.
