Description

Shell very narrow, elongated fusiform, glossy white. Spire sharp, elongate, covered with many fine lines, with exposed mamillate protoconch, with barely visible subsutural band. Middle zone separated by a fine groove below subsutural bands posteriorly and wide ancillid band anteriorly with labral denticle at the end of ancillid groove. Fasciolar band and the basal zone nearly the same in width. Basal zone separated by deep furrow from columellar pillar with oblique folds. Aperture narrow, white inside. Outer lip thin, simple. Siphonal canal deep. Length 12.6 mm; Width 4.0 mm; Aperture 5.7 mm

Distribution

East off Cheyne Bay, West Australia, 75 m deep

Interchangeable taxa

This new species resembles Amalda (Gracilispira) albaniensis Ninomiya, 1987, but differs in having sharp white shell without ornamental color pattern on the subsutural and ancillid bands.
