Description

Shell small, fusiform, white. Spire short, with exposed protoconch, smooth, without ridges, with three subsutural bands having punctated quardrate orange markings. Middle zone separated by a weak groove under subsutural band posteriorly and ancillid groove anteriorly. Ancillid band with a denticle on the extremity of shallow ancillid groove. Columellar pillar with folds. Aperture small, white within. Outer lip strong, simple. Siphonal canal wide, shallow. Length 9.4 mm; Width 3.8 mm; Aperture 5.0 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

This new species resembles Amalda (Mundaspira) concinna Ninomiya, 1990, but differs in having far smaller shell, smooth spire with few swellings of subsutural bands on spire, and no depression indicating suture.
