Description

Shell small, inflated fusiform, with exposed mamillate protoconch, with short and acute spire. Subsutural band with spaced orange square dots on pale yellowish white band. Middle zone having whitish gray color separated by edge of subsutural band posteriorly and fasciolar band of yellowish white color anteriorly. Ground color whitish gray with indistinct markings. Fasciolar band delimited from basal zone by a weak line. These two bands at a glance appear to be a single one. Basal zone delimited from columella with oblique folds and deep furrow. Aperture wide but small. Shell lacking of spire ridge, ancillid band and labral denticle. Outer lip thin, solid. Siphonal canal narrow, deep. Length 5.4 mm; Width 3.0 mm; Aperture 3.2 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

This new species is close to Amalda (Alcospira) fasciatum n. sp. but differs in having no ancillid band, subsutural band with orange dots, and inflated middle zone (W/L ratio 0.56).
