Description

Shell small, slender, cylindrical fusiform, with well developed subsutural band. Spire sharply raised with orange subsutural bands, with weak spiral ridges between subsutural bands. Protoconch exposed, small mamillate. Middle zone separated by a fine groove under subsutural band posteriorly and weak ancillid band. Basal zone and columellar pillar with three folds, white in color. Aperture small, whitish gray within. Outer lip thick, simple. Siphonal canal deep. Length 11.6 mm; Width 3.8 mm; Length aperture 5.0 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

This is compared with the species Amalda (Alcospira) ponderi , but this species differs in having a very elongated spire with orange subsutural bands and depressed interspace between them.
