Description

AS Chlamys (Chlamys) curtisiana (Iredale, 1939) Shell length to 32 mm; equivalve. Sculpture: 20-22 ribs with rough close-set concentric sculpture which form scales; auricles similarly sculptured. Colour: brown or purple, right valve paler with nebulous white pattern umbonally; interior white; left valve white centrally, purple marginally. Habitat: attached to rocks. Distribution: Queensland to Northern Territory.
