Shell small (up to 4.3 mm, N = 9), broadly conical, stout.
Protoconch of planktotrophic larval type; conical, of 2 convex, rather wide and low whorls ; transition to teleoconch abrupt with deep sinusigeral notch and with weakly thickened margin. Teleoconch of 4 1/4 to 5 whorls ; adapical spire whorls wide, low, flat-sided, moderately angulate below and above sutures; the latter undulating, moderately impressed; penultimate whorl weakly convex with weakly undulating and very weakly impressed suture ; last whorl high, weakly convex, very weakly contracted near shell base. Axial sculpture of fine, distantly spaced, rounded, orthocline to weakly opisthocline ribs, the latter becoming more prominent and wider on abapical spire whorls and on last whorl; axial ribs of last whorl gradually weaker on abapical 1/3. Spiral sculpture of adapical spire whorls of fine, rounded, narrow and rather distantly spaced ribs, forming weak and rounded nodules where crossing axial ribs ; spiral ribs more prominent on abapical spire whorls and on last whorl and forming prominent, rounded nodules where intersecting axial ribs. Microsculpture of very fine, densely spaced axial threads between spiral ribs. Aperture ovate ; inner lip thin, moderately expanded ; anterior channel short, very deep and narrow; posterior channel very wide, inconspicuous; outer lip thin internally, apart from two weak swellings near transition to respectively anterior and posterior channel; outer lip externally with a prominent, moderately wide, varix, the latter bearing prominent distantly spaced, spiral ribs; outer lip almost opisthocline in profile. Shell colour: glossy white.
