Description

Euthria emilioi is characterized by the small shell with high spire, having a sculpture of dominant but moderately fine axial ribs along the upper spire whorls only and broad spiral cords along all whorls. The colour is uniform, vivid, usually yellow or orange, occasionally golden brown.

Interchangeable taxa

Euthria taeniopsoides differs from f. emilioi in its higher number of protoconch whorls (2 instead of 1,5) in combination with a similar or slightly smaller diameter (1.0 mm instead of 1.1 mm); the deeper subsutural concavity and its thin but sharp spiral cords alone the base.
Euthria calderoni differs from E. emilioi in its slightly broader shell with slightly more convex whorls. The sculpture is in all aspects almost identical apart from the spiral cords along the last whorls that are usually slightly narrower. The pattern off. calderoni is much darker with some pattern of paler or white dots and fine, interrupted spiral lines.
