Description

70mm. Thick, glossy, ovate, spire short to moderately tall, whorls strongly shouldered or smoothly rounded. Fine growth ridges on all whorls, last whorl sometimes bearing a varix; outer lip thickened and regularly toothed along ventral side. No umbilicus. Bluish cream or greenish grey sometimes with up to 6 spiral rows of pale or dark brown blotches on last whorl. Operculum small, yellowish. Masirah specimens among largest known. Habitat: offshore and beached. Distribution: Oman, Masirah Island, Yemen. Gulf of Aden.
