Distribution. Beside the material examined, O. bergensis is known from Sognefjord and Ramsdalfjord, north of Bergen.
Remarks. Oenopota bergensis can be separated by its big, obtuse protoconch, 850-1000 in diameter, and the glassy whitish shell. In O. turricula the protoconch is smaller (680-740 µm), more pointed, and the adult shell is chalky and often reddish.
