Distribution: Texas; Virgin Islands; Cuba. Size: 6 mm
Description: Color of first postnuclear whorls white, rest of teleoconch brown, protoconch brown; shape elongate-conic; sculpture of spiral beaded ridges with 2 rows of beaded spirals on early whorls and 3 on latter whorls; protoconch with axial riblets crossed by 2 spiral threads; first nuclear whorl smooth; aperture subcircular with small parietal lip; siphonal canal abrupt. Habitat: Tropical calcareous environments at depths from 20 to 56 m (66 to 184 ft). Remarks: In Texas found at the FGB. As with Cerithiopsis species this snail shows it can repair the aperture if the mantle is not excessively damaged.
