According to Ungulate Taxonomy by Colin P. Groves and the late Peter Grubb (2011), the Black-footed boar is actually considered a full/distinct species and not a subspecies of Sus scrofa and should therefore be listed as Sus nigripes. Is there a way that we can change this listing in the database?
