Pokud byl tento snímek skutečně pořízen v Rudém moři, pak se jedná o druh Pterois miles, nikoli Pterois volitans. Rozdíly mezi oběma druhy jsou takového charakteru, že se z této fotografie nedá s jistotou říci, o který druh se jedná. Rozhodující je tedy lokalita. Pterois volitans v Rudém moři totiž nežije.
